Perfect for those who want to reconnect - with the seasons, nature, the soil and themselves, our ‘days on the flower farm’ are offered throughout the seasons to anyone with a love of flowers and an interest in gardening, flower farming or season-led floral design.
The day will begin at 9.30 with Lucy, a tour of the Walled Garden and an overview of the jobs for the morning, before getting your hands dirty on the flower farm. The specific tasks will vary with the time of year, but typically include sowing, planting out and preparing beds along with other season specific jobs.
After a delicious seasonal lunch, made with ingredients from the Kitchen you will retreat into an abundance of flowers within the Flower Barn with Cissy. Here you will reconnect with your creative self and learn how to arrange freshly cut flowers into beautiful, seasonal centrepieces.
